Our band was founded in 1990 by front man Robert Pratt, and for the first fews years we were known as "the Palmetto Bugs." We started out playing for a few functions at Summerville Presbyterian Church. Eventually we grew into bigger gigs at local parties and clubs, and established a local following. Since then, we changed our name to "the Palmetto Dance Band" to better represent our music and we've played at a much greater variety of events. We've played many venues, mostly in Charleston; however, some events have taken us to Savannah, Myrtle Beach, Greenville, Columbia, Georgetown, Defauskee Island, and Hilton Head Island.

The lead singer and front man for the Palmetto Dance Band, Robert is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a very successful commercial realtor.
